oh, im starting up hammer now.
oh and, after alot of dumbfoundedness, the no weapons thing isnt with hammer, its with mani. u can put individual map configs into a certain file and it execs for that map when its played. ill send it to u in a little bit rem, im making it now. oh and i dont need to remove the buyzones, coz its no weapons anyway. but i know you all would like to still have kevlar so u can take more knife damage. so ill leave them in. oh and u all remember de_prodigy from 1.6? today im starting on a css versino of it. i always loved that map. :D so we can play glass map knives only 2nite, but no zombies! or we loooose!


oooh, i dont know the exact console terms for the weapons and stuff, but rem, go into your css/cstrike/cfg/mani_admin_plugin\restrict, in there should be one map, that we dont even play. from that you'll have to manually make it if u want knives only. u just give it the name zero_glass with the proper weapon terms inside and it should do it fine. i really wanna get started on my map, and at least play sumfin b4 2nites server. any zero that can cum on 2nite, plz do so coz i woz supposed to get my "suprise" 2 weeks ago, but hero been missing tuesday nights :( so hoping u all get there.

update: ehehe just taking a look on the clanzero official website, and all the pics and stuff. musta been fun! hows this: if significant, game hindering events dont happend for the next 5 yrs, and this clan is still together (will be) then ill fly to melbourne and brisbane and wherever else and meet u all :D its a promise!

Friday night USED to be about playing some fun maps with other humans..

Not the same old same old humans v's crap bots..

Or even better ... running the *snore* *snore* zombie hordes.

It's your server you can do what you want and other people (yourself included) like the way things are at the moment.

It's just my two cents worth.. IMHO that is why I don't bother playing much on the zero server anymore.. Not sure if the other zero's whom don't play anymore felt the same way..

itchy - there is css de_prodigy already! it's an EXCELLENT map and is part of the default set - we don play it, it's one of my fav's still :D

I can put up those map specific files no problem, but would appreciate it if u make them first - cos i don't have time :P

slaide - fri nights has always been humans vs bots, but with lots of custom maps. I know i hardly use any custom maps since css tho, partly cos there were none for ages after it's release, but mostly because of my chronic lack of time.

it was tue nights that we played public human vs human - we either would converge on a public server on the days of wireplay, or in recent years we used to do public human vs human on servers we have rcon to. More recently, once we lost properly hosted servers that we had rcon to, then we had no option but to use my server on tue nights, and due to bandwidth limitations, it's not suitable for human vs human unless is 4 v 4 max, so we started just doing bots instead.

so if we keep playing on my server, then i think we will need to keep playing human vs bots due to bandwidth limitations. Wrt custom maps, i'm happy to use them more, but need people to suggest was map names they want to play - there's many hundreds of maps on my server already! i also need to link to these maps on my web site so ppl can d/l map packs quickly via that, rather than killing the server. wrt to zombie hordes or any non standard config, i like em all, but try to do what the majority want. i more than happy if ppl want to kick off votes, or suggest certain settings.

I don't get to play enuff as it is, so i would love it if ppl with admin access can change maps and settings, just try to do what the majority want.

lol-i just remembered oro used to change maps on fri nights - going through custom maps, he did a great job and everyone loved it - he was like our map DJ - was a hoot, and took the pressure off me so i liked it even more! :D

slaide - stay on your soap box, what u say is valid, we just got to figure out how to make it all work best :D

what about a zero relaxation centre.... like with a trampoline, pool with diving board, maybe a slide, and treadmill, a giant fan thing that we can sky dive above, some skateboards to ride on..... oh, and lots of windows to break :D

ive kinda lost my mappers spark, but a relax map sounds like a pretty good idea. ill call it zero_relax :D . Hmmm... Slaidey needs cheering up... hey, why doesnt [zero] have a server hosted for the clan anymore? not rems server i mean? Wouldnt ur host do it for css when it came out? If thats the case, i will embark on a mission to find a reliable clan server host, if thats permitted. Jst to cheer the zeros up and mebbe bring back sum old ones, if they feel the same as slaide does. Its final. That is my mission. Get a good server host with mani and allows elected ppl (*ahem* *reM?) to do wateva they want with the server. Bots only is kool, but its very different to vs. ing real ppl.

note: im not tryin to brush ur server off rem! but max 10 humans isnt the greatest amount of bandwidth :S .

tasty - that would be AWESOME if u can find a permament server we can use and have rcon, and can add custom maps and mods to. We have had servers like that over the years, but haven't had one for a while now (over a year I think), but all the while we've had my little baby going :D

but if u can find a proper server with a decent connection that would be great!!! :D

Insanely hard to find anything even close to that, but im gonna pull some strings with some contacts and see what i can do. Who was hosting your past servers? and why may i ask did they stop? Mebbe i can take a look around there a bit.

I used to be the OzForces Gamesmaster and ran all their 80+ servers (along with Conscience) so we had a zero server up for a while. Problem was no one used it and it got pushed aside to make room for more popular games.

OzForces went through a big change recently, moving datacentres; so I don't think there's room for a zero server.

WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA! oops no whingeing :0 <<< wtf they call that an embarrased emoticon? thats a shame about the server :( if we cant get an official server specifically for the clan, then maybe do like other clans do and simply have a single server as their meeting place, so they can play against/with each other not just on the tue and friday nights like rems server. rem u couldnt possibly have the server up even when ur not there to be with it couldnt you? and have admins just take care of it? or um, mebbe u want to be with the server incase something bad happens? dont want ur place burnin down rem... :'( , or mebbe is it upload limits? just ideas and stuff, id love to be on ur server more often, considering i can only play ur server on the friday, and i missed it yesterday (friday) coz i got in trouble.... :( poor us!

we also have had servers from WHC and loosely affiliated with wireplay (before it became gamearena), and sort of servers from clan members, but at the moment we've only got my server. I don't want it up all the time cos it needs to be admin'ed to ensure we don't have too many humans in the server (limited bandwidth chokes after 10 ppl) and too many bots (seems like 28 slots filled is the limit now due to CPU), and also cos I allow uploads (for ppl to use their sprays) and I'm aware there was a hack previously (dunno if it can still happen) where a hacker could get the rcon pass and then take control of the PC basically through that - so i don't want the server up without an admin in it - mainly to ensure it doesn't get too crowded and that the bot/human ratio is good. I have had the server up before on tue/fri nights when I haven't been around, but only when I'd arranged for an admin to be in there :P

You won't find one without paying 50+ per month. Trust me.
Unless you know someone that works in an office who can run a server under their desk or something. I've seen that before.
