Well, planes are fun. Must practice picking on helicopters. A lot easier to nobble other aircraft actually. Damn that flare reload time on choppers!

Still havne't played on GA servers but nice to see that the run of the mill piloting skills...aren't.

I can't really play it yet...Hopefully Zsinky will have it so I can put it on my mem stick when I see him later today...

Then it's just a matter of getting broadband, I guess.

So, have others been praccing up in this? Are we going to be competitive?

I think I've got the fighters pretty much in hand. Though I did get shot down for the first time yesterday :o (was seeing how long I could go without flares :P)

Ive been playing a bit. Choppers are quick different in their handling to DC, Im not sure if I like them or not. They certainly need a gunner to be effective, which is a pretty big investment for a clan game. Will they be used? That is to be seen. They will be better if the enemy aircraft are taken care of by our Aces, and Ive seen good Chopper pilots use their countermeasures to consistently foil any ground attacks (apart from machine guns and tanks- ive taken a few whirlybirds down with the main battle cannon myself).

Still, at the moment it seems I will end up a groundpounder as usual. Thats where ive been getting the best results so far...

Yeah I got flying down pretty nicely. With choppers i found its faster to take them out with the guns rather then waiting for tone that causes them to panic. This means to attack the choppers with ground bombs slected as not to scare them :P

Yeah, guns are the only way to reliably take down choppers, but they do go down relatively fast. Damn their 5 second flare re-arm.

Though I'd imagine that in a war you could line two planes up on them, the first gets the choppers flares and the second fills him with air to air missiles.

All you have to do is scare em with the lock-on, wait for them to "shit" themselves (flare drop) and then WHAM!
