Stage 1 in the history of Australian online gaming is underway. This project seeks to treat the history of online gaming with the same respect with which the history of any other technological/social phenomenon is treated (eg. TV). Stage 1 involves collecting brief histories of significant clans from the different local game scenes. These histories will be held in an encyclopedia format and form the framework around which other, more detailed stages of the project will be undertaken.
I have only just started to gather this information and expect it to take about a year. Based on your web site I have written an entry to my history site at
