Burnt CPU - Urgent
Urgent because I need to make sure its my CPU burnt and I don't buy new CPU for nothing. I turned on PC after putting it in new case and nothing come up, and then I turn it off and smell burn. I incorrectly put together my thermaltake volcano7+ i think, i connected the two wires to the mobo and the single yellow to the switch. Now when I turn it on I just get long beeps. I took everything out except for hd, ram, vid card, still the same. Took out ram, still the same. Checked the ram, no burn signs. Checked the CPU, but I dont know what burnt cpu look like. I can see some black stuff on the side, but I cant remember if it was already there or not.

I checked here and it says if it's CPU related I should have no beeps? I've checked my RAM and I don't see any burn marks, unless the burned CPU gets interpreted as a memory problem. |

well i know its my ram now. i checked my ram slots and i saw a little black mark. so i put one of my ram into a clean slot and turn it on, i see a little flash from there and turn it off, smell the same burn, check the spot and its burnt there. and the little piece of metal in the ram slot where it burnt came out. what the hell happened?
