Except in very rare situations it's the same date accross the whole of australia

Melbourne and Sydney are in the same time zone, as well as brisbane, hobart and canberra. So they are all on the same time, except during daylight savings when Brisbane is 1 hour behind.

Look at a world atlas/globe You will see what I mean.
