100 - 50 on 2fort

50 - 10 on Shutdown2 (should have been 50-20 , snarls at oreo )

We just seem to be slow to get into a rhythm. Once we're setup it becomes a lot harder for the other clan to cap. Need to fix the slow start. IRG last war just never gave us the chance to get any structure.

Overall this war wasn't too bad. Considering we have never played shutdown2 before - I haven't even played it public, only in Pracs. Quite happy with my 1 solo cap and 1 front door *nearly* cap. *Snarls at oreo*

TFC is more strategy than skill (which CS is all about) eh?

After watching the demo of shutdown2 I believe PtP kicking oreo was unjustified.

The chasing rule is one of the grey areas of TFC, it doesn't take into account forward defense or changing people from offense to defence.

Happens again and I'll go to term or trog with a complaint. As any kicking or even explaining via text hampers our team. In TFC every second counts.

Yes I agree, even though I haven't seen the demo it was quite clear orourke was defending just from team communication alone which I assume PtP could hear.

I was not going inside their base, i went in only when thau went off at me

Otherwise i was outside their FRONT DOOR which their offence should ONLY come through, the admin didnt like that so he said i was "chasing", errr ok so i changed from doing their door, to doing OUR door, which led to me being kicked...

ptp = wanker as i said
"you might need to learn how to tell the difference between offence and defence Mr Admin"

so if you're offence you're not allowed to kill their offence, if you're leaving our base...?

Correct Liquid Lunch - but I think there's more. You are not even allowed to shoot at them at all - that would reduce their armour and thats not allowed either.
Just smile at them as you cross the bridge.

I reckon it should just be free-for-all mayhem. We'd excel at that.

heh that's pretty gay

does the op get a list of all offence and defence before the match? What if you swap and change people? Are you allowed to defend from the bridge, or must you stay within your base?

yup nothing wrong with that at all.

The only place where pipebombs might be questionable is outside the enemy spawns

maen..I'm probably gunna break some of these rules..hope thau fills me in over ICQ or gives me a link or something...heh bit hazy.

I'll end up running out, see the enemy, not shoot at him, then realise it was a defence guy and get killed, then run into their base, see a guy, shoot him, then find out he was their offence :\

are offence and defence diff colours or something? They never used to be..but I havn't played the game in like 9 months

LS if your on defence (which you will be ) you don't need to worry about rules. Just stick to your position, don't go into their base and you'll be fine

Oh ok I assumed you'd be on defence. Anyhow the official GA rules are as follows:

The following guidelines should be followed at all times during play; failure to do so may result in your team being removed at our discretion.

Offence members should not chase other team's offence members; the reasoning being that offensive players should be saving their ammo/health for their attack on the enemies base.

Do not gas/napalm/nail spam enemy respawn doorways

Unfortunately there isn't anything to distinguish offence from defence. Obviously the admins prefer all defenders to be in their base (which is kinda ghey) so most probably will be. But if you get fired upon outside the enemy base by a heavy class then it's safe to assume they are on defence

With Oreo moving back to defence after his bullshit display last night I'll be putting more of the newer players on offence.

Shady and myself will be primary offence (if shady doesn't have another medical emergency/car break down/etc). Then I will have Cokester, Dr Octopus, Dirty harry and Liquid Silver moving around on offense.

Don't worry guys - your tasks will mainly be to

a) Spam the shit out of the enemy as me and shady sneak through
b) Hit the levers etc while me and shady get the flag.

Nothing to complicated. Should be good practise too.
