tonsils = things in your throat, on some people (myself included) they tend to get infected easy, which is really really really painful. They're a little bit behind your epiglot-danglething-us.
He doesn't need the tonsils to play CS, but for other, umm, private duties
Hope the ice cream diet is keeping you healthy Rem!

aaaw fanks for your concern guys

I am alive!!! Not feeling very well at all cos of pain and painkillers that numb the brain to numb the pain (/Rem's floating about) and also cos I'm in my 4th week of that resurgence of nasty glandular fever - which is one reason i hastened the process to get my tonsils OUT ASAP!!! I'll still be mostly AFK for a while, but will check in here from time to time, and am prolly about 2 weeks away from going back to work.

Apparently if ppl have at least 4 episodes of tonsilitus each year (infected tonsils) then they could consider having them out. If u have them out as an adult, it's a MUCH more PAINful operation, and recovery takes longer, but it sure beats having infected tonsils for months of the year as I have been putting up with. I am soooooo looking forward to freedom from tonsil infection!!!! And altho it's painful now, its LESS pain than I had at the start of glandular fever when my tonsils were soo huge there wasn't room for my epiglottis down the back of my throat, and I couldn't talk cos there wasn't enuff room for my tongue to move properly!!!! eeek that was bad! So, I'm getting better already :p I'll be fighting fit soon
