General fps-video card (help)

jsut need some help :/

does windows XP or Windows 2000 help your fps??

apparantly is does i get 100 fps in 640* but when therte is alot of fighting it drops to like 50 it it very pissing maybe not 50 but 70 80

but if i played in 18/18 server on GA i get shit fps when there is alot of action..

i got a gf 2 mx 400 64bit

1.3 mghz
AMD
256 RAM
An acer
Burner
17inch

Windows XP and 2k are VERY similar the only really noticable difference (internal difference not GUI) is that in 2k you can use 256 and always have some spare, and in WinXp you need atleast 512 really...

Iv been in WinXP and its been using 512MB of ram just sitting there running b/g proggies...

So heres some tips?
Upgrade to 512 (c'mon it doesnt cost much and you can notice the difference),
Defragment, and enable the Top proformance options in your mobo (www.tweak3d.net if you dont know what i mean).

This should help stabilise your fps a little.

omg, you should be on higher than 640 and be getting more than 60fps
