General Friggan weird burner problem...

i have a liteon 48x24x48 burner..
using the latest nero version..
been burning for like 3 months fine on 48x speed..
then for some reason i was burning a cd and it only said 40x write.. so i thought must of been the cd's or something.. few days later i find the 50 cd spindle i bought was 48x compatible..
weird i thought...
now its only burning at 32x..
seems to be going slower and slower over time and im not doing anything? weird? :/
any suggestions..

im using a daemon tools virtual drive on I:
and the burner is G:
(no H: drive.. weird as well)
its windows 2000
amd 2400+

A9 We support most brand names of the discs such as RICOH, RITEK, PRINCO, and etc. We suggest all users contact us if you encounter problem using any brand of discs, so we can improve our compatibility.

Have you tried the above brand of media dude?

If you do find that your burner has an issue with recognising a wider variety of CDR/CDRW media then it might be an idea to upgrade its firmware though you should do so very carefully. Be sure to read all the how to's etc.

Click Here for the list of firmware available for your LiteOn burner.

Keep in touch dude....

On a Side Note. LiteON burners are really nice as you can generally flash them for a speed upgrade .

I'm going to do my 40x to a 48x one day

Like 40x isn't fast enough?? Does the burner even reach 48x by the time the CD is done?
