help! Problems with Comp! NEED HELP!

Hey guyz!

I have been having probs with my comp.. The worse one was today when i turned it on and it said Kernell 32 has performed an illegal operation then it said, msn then zonealarm (firewall) then bigpond then finally explored and the screen went blanc and i had to restart it and and now it started up fine. Also liek in 1 in every 2 times i turn my comp on i get an registry error msg and i ahve to restart in order to fix the problem then it goes to some screen and restores the systems registry or wotever but it says that it couldnt fix the problem i dont think so i restart it and it starts up fine most of the time.. Have i got a virus or a system error or something. Can i please get some help?

Thanks!

Sounds to me like things are screwed. Check your hard drive for errors. If it's error-free, format and reinstall. If not, get a new hard drive.

I haven't had problems like that since WinME.

Did you happen to install something on your PC and then you started to realise that the problem was occuring?

See if you can back track to try and pin point when the problem exactly started.
