General Got NS 1.1 :P

No it's not out yet - but much closer.

Something to whet the appetite though:

Flayra opened the beta discussion forum @ http://www.natural-selection.org/for...hp?act=SF&f=30

You will see the changelogs for 1.1 - the changes are MAJOR. The game will play completely differently.

Worth a read.

shit thats awesome!

I was getting sooo sick of the current state of play. Cool that it's more resource based now, means that a slight tactical error won't loose you the entire game.

love all the commander improvements too.

Unfortunately there is still quite a bit to do on it.

In all reality I would be suprised (but overjoyed+++++) if it came out within a month. Features still need to be implemented (e.g 2nd hive ability for fade, new lerk flight model) and then they will have to be tested by playtesters as well as balanced by the veterans (top members from clans recruited to test ns).

But once balanced it will be awesome! Lerk having it's bite removed is being bitched over MAJORLY on the forums funny to read.

heh yeah I saw that.

Doesn't worry me in the slightest, the only thing I used the lerk bite for was taking out structures. But since those things will now be ELECTRIFIED i'm not going to have much use for the bite

Oh there are some awesome bite only lerks.

But I always found that I can kill very effeciently with spikes. Many a time i've got 40-50 kills in a round just going lerk with spikes and umbra.

As long as you use spikes properly (hitscan - insta hit) they are Potent.

means wherever your crosshair is it hits RIGHT there

that's how you use the spikes - they are instant hit as soon as u fire
