Yes, Adsl.

thats 160kB max down and 30kB up max.

I really miss my Optus Cable netstats. But Optus booted me off that.
(This is where Oro pops his head in and tells you why I was booted.)

Na, Im a cheap leeching WHORE.

Im looking at changeing soon to:
NetSpace
Home 1500 Plus 1500k/256k $199.95 14Gb/14Gb (28Gb total)

**They dont prioritise your downloads
**Internode dont promise speed on the Flat-Rate Plans

Netspeed.
They have UNLIMTED accounts that DONT use the comindico network.

lol oro!!! v sneaky

at least 1500/256 is true broadband.... not like those piddly 256/64 connections

bly - at this stage your upstream is faster than mine (twice as fast).... i hear that telstra will be changing that soon to give cable maybe 512 upstream (approx what i had when it was uncapped) - i hope it's v soon cos that'll be great for my little server

Telstra are a bunch of pigs in regards to the Broadband department. Cable and ADSL.

They charge for upstream, the majority of other ISP's don’t. Its all free upstream and just don’t bother being competitive.

that "he" refers to me

my usage (upload/download) is about 1gb per month. It used to be well under 1gb, but since we lost deadly deagle server and i've been running my CS server more often, my usage went up quite a lot and I had to upgrade to the 3gb plan - and now my usage is just over 1gb, but i don't stress about it now cos i've got HEAPS of space

so, i'm on the 3gb ($75 per month?) plan, and i get 5000/128. The upstream is way too small, but i hear that telstra will be raising the upstream to about 512 in the future - which means more players can play on my cs server

so how much for 5000/512 for 3gb via ADSL? There is no ADSL provider capable of offering that in Australia yet

1500/512 would be the minimum I'd use - anything less than that is not truely broadband

hahahah
just can't feel the speed eh rem?
hmmm .... i think they've got 1500/512 plan for business though ..... which u can get, but more expensive ....

telstra r0x0rs!!!

and yeah, i now get a discount (last few months), and so i went from 1gb (before the discount was introduced) to 3gb plan (after the discount was introduced), and the extra 2gb only costs a few dollars more per month now as compared to what I used to be paying - i like it

and my cable is AWESOME!!! (i'm BUSTING to get the upstream of 512 tho, instead of the meagre 128 we get these days since the upstream cap went on - so i hope telstra do make that happen)

lol insty - we get 20% of the monthly plan (not off excess usage or anything else) and it's for a registered address only

so 3gb on staff plan is only a little more than 1gb on public plan

if i could get 5gb for $80 I would!!!! oh, and I've been on cable for 2 years now, and the discount has only just come out
