Freezing for no reason?
It seems when IM in games recently (and once while browsing forums), my PC just totally froze. No mouse, no keyboard nothing.
I checked CPU temp and its at 60, for a XP1900 Any ideas? |

Hi Lego
If you are running an Athlon you find that 60 is quite normal for them. Could you please return some specifications in regards to your system. Thanx mate.... |

I used to have that problem Lego and after a fucking year I pinpointed it to be faulty memory. After I isolated the 128 mb chip and replaced it, voila! No more problem!
Only think I could come up with is that when it trys to read or write to a particular memory sector that was faulty it then hung up and froze like you do when Cons actually said yes to your request for anal sex |

Yep, Ptech has a point.
Try *Checking Memory *Checking CPU Cooling I'm pulling 51 at 100% load, and mine is fine |

Wait sorry, I actually made a mistake in my post. It was a faulty memory slot on the motherboard, not the memory stick itself! But eitherway, it'll cause the same problem. See if you can run off 1 ram stick and see how you go. If it's fine, put in the second one.
