Half-Life 2 delayed on GameSpot (thanks Boomtown) has word that Valve's shooter sequel will not make its planned release date. Here's the deal:

Today we received word from the game's publisher, Vivendi Universal, that Half-Life 2's release has been delayed until later this year. Without commenting on the delay, a Vivendi Universal representative reaffirmed that the game would ship this year, sometime during the holiday season.

I can't say I'm majorly suprised - though it is a shame.

Natural Selection 2.0 will tie me over until it's complete though

And if it results in a better game... can't complain.
