help! Me’s got a problem

gday guys..............................Harrys at it again

I got a second pc which is the slave and it's connected to my main pc by a cross-over cable. It’s running with two hard drives, which I want to remove one and put it in the main pc. Can I just remove it and then reinstall it in my main pc?

But the problem is my slave pc when I switch it on I get a beeping noise, it lasts for about 3 seconds then stops then start again and the monitor is receiving nothing!

Need help asap…………………….

Well it depends if it's the drive you expect the main PC to boot off. If it is, then I wouldn't expect it to work. You'll probably have to re-install windows. Also, if it was the drive the old PC booted off, then it will of course have problems if it can't find it.

Check to see if it comes up in BIOS when you start the PC - you know, hold down F1 or DEL or whatever it says to go into setup mode right at the start when you boot up.

Can't see any reason the old PC wouldn't work if you just took out the slave. Check the BIOS and see if it has a problem.

err that doesn't sound good. Make sure everything is plugged back in (eg. video cable). If it is, open it up and look inside - maybe you bumped the video card or something else out of its slot.

Yeah 3 beeps is 'usually' a video card problem, so like Mud said I'd check that first - take it out and plug it in properly again cause yeah it could've had a shove etc.

Easy to reboot....

1. Turn Etch-a-sketch upside down. (So lcd screen is facing the ground)
2. Shake Etch-a-sketch vigorously.
3. Be careful not to drop Etch-a-sketch while rebooting. This may cause internal damage

Yes.. It often does that when there is some rain.

A few kids were actually body boarding down the stream.
