SGL NS Server now running 1.01 Beta!

Changes in this release:
- Significantly better performance
- Prevents a player from joining a team if it would make that team have more then 2 players then the other team
- Expires health and ammo after 30 seconds
- Removes all server op control over gameplay variables. We're trying to make sure the public servers are playing the way the game was designed, and so this was necessary.
- Also, there may be some bugs in here.

It really does sound good to me... honest! I just don't have time to get into it ATM..... In the few hours I set aside each week for gaming, I wanna fix up DD for CS for maps and mods again (and also my own CS server), then get back into playing more CS..... if i had more time then NS would be in for sure. I got no holidays coming up, and no way of getting extra time oh well, such is life

Yeh I've been totally bitten by the NS bug. Know I've seen sherman in their on GA as well It's added another level of teamwork to CS's. Gotta build defences, get resources, eat marines, chomp chomp.
The two different play styles for marines and aliens is good too, its sooo important to have a good commander as marines, whereas aliens can get by with a couple of good builders

ppl still want to play cs, and war in cs, and we're recruiting more cs players so we can continue to be active in cs

as a team we need to decide what game(s) we're gonna be ACTIVE in..... at the moment the ONLY game zero is "committed" to be active in is CS - if as a team we said no more CS and we're gonna play NS then that would be fine with me - first thing I'd do is d/l NS!!!

until as a team we make a change in game direction, we gotta keep our CS skills and CS players or it will be forfeit, forfeit, forfeit like the last 3 wars

if a majority of us want to move from CS to NS, I'd give my support to that too

Games come and go - CS, NS, BF1942 etc. We play them as they come, and people are active in what they want to be.

Rem is right though, if we're going to make a 'war' commitment, we need to be sure we have the numbers. At the moment we want to make a war commitment for CS, so we need the players.

Slaide and I are constantly playing on GA, at least once every couple of nights, just a matter of time before his uber leet skills bring in recruits!
