Jantar is actually a Polish manufacturer of gliders So that's where my name came from. Why I picked it, I dunno. I think I played CS for the first time after coming back from a weeks gliding....and it stuck. So there

since we're going down the trivia path...i actually got my name from the Star Wars character pictured above...and i've been using it since high school...when we commandeered the computer lab and played some quake...

I got my name from my TFC days when i was starting to play Demoman a bit. Kept blowing myself up, so i switched to that name when practicing so as not to sully my 'real' name, but then i joined a clan with that name so i kept it for a while. like, years. I have to admit, it looks better in an FPS than 'Tyra' or 'Tyra_Nid'

as i said before, its an astronomy facility. some ruler in india built it a long time ago. pretty amazing that it all works. i cant remember what each thing does though...
