Default Hrm...a little news...
1) Hey Belg/Dan...I bought Yugioh for Paul's PS2, it fucking rocks man, 3d battle scenes and everything, it's super cool when...ahem.

2) Gawain and I are reading these forums as I type this and thanks to certain events, we're going to get our butts into gear and look into getting a new copper line installed...we need to make sure of a few things first...so watch this space.

Hope to be in action soon boys and girl,,and explosive.

Oh hey Zsink, while the offer to drive 8 hours south for a 2 hour playing period then having to drive home 8 hours north IS tempting, we'll have to pass. Work sort of does that to you.

DBZ is based off quite alot of chinese and japanese mythic stories like the monkey king hanuman which the saiyan race is based from.
The dragon shenlon is from ancient japanese myth.
The third eye on tiens head represents his enlightenment to the metaphysical from being a monk.
The kamehameha wave is named after a king from hawaii (that was his name) just for a little bit of difference to the mainly asian theme.

the list goes on but those are the ones i remember off the top of my head.

If you look hard enough at any game,movie or story that comes out these days its based on some old idea.

Like the Homeworld series of games .. i had no idea it was based off the story of moses wandering the desert for 40 years untill the similarites of names used in the game was pointed out to me.

Hiigara the name of the Kushan homeworld was beased off of Hegira an ancient city that moses used as home in the desert for years.
And things like the Kadesh race in the game that was a brother nation to Hegira in ancient times.

Also makes sense to me now why they used so much arabic type music in the sound tracks now.
