CS Source video benchmark
I got a new vid card, and I friend of mine got an amazing new PC, so I figured a good way to measure the improvement in my fps with the new card, and compare with others was to do a demo
So, this is what i get with my current ATI 9600 XT running this demo (in console: timedemo remtest). 4010 frames 65.668 seconds 61.06 fps 6.371 fps variability Settings are 800x600 and with all the detail set to one lower than the highest, and the other settings on the lowest available. I then set to all the highest detail, and with the other settings being the 2nd option in each list, and I got this: 4010 frames 80.066 seconds 50.08 fps 9.321 fps variability OK, THEN I remembered the Video Stress Test on the menu.... doh! I got 72fps with the low detail, and 66 fps on high detail. Oh, the demo only runs for a short time, and u get to see some of my fluke hacks
