I really want to get some wars going for RQ3. So if you guys play it let me know asap, if you don't - start playing it.


Reaction Quake 3 is a direct port of the classic Action Quake 2 mod to the quake 3 engine. That means it plays just like AQ2, but with much better graphics and even better netcode.

If you never played AQ2 you were missing out. It WAS the reason games like counter-strike, day of defeat and even the commercial games like global ops, rtcw and medal of honour exist today. Gooseman was one of the big players in the A-team when they developed "action", and counter-strike received the notion of realistic guns, locational damage and "your dead for the round" directly from action.


RQ3 offers the speed of play of aq2, which is more quake 1 than counter-strike, but still retains a good amount of strategy and tactics. If you die it's usually only a 1 minute wait max too
