I don't think wars should be accounted for attendence.

I get a "zippo" on a war I wasn't even invited to play in..

Go figure.

I think the idea about attendance for wars should be put your hand up and be counted. If you want to play in wars just say so. We do have some good leaders amongst us that do great job all we need is some keen and willing members to get in there and really give it a go. There is no better CS adrenalin rush like a good war. The more members that do this maybe a better way of honing a great team who wants to train, talk about tactics etc. Let’s face it with all the members we have it should be no problem getting 5 to 6 “team mates” for a war. Wether we win or not and I do believe we can win more times than lose FFS.

yes flash, that's right

to all, to clear a few things up: Doubt has been using ICQ to notify the WHOLE team via ICQ about NON-GA ladder wars (I've previously checked with him to make sure he's got the whole team so I know he does!) so if u don't get msg's from Doubt - let him know - maybe your ICQ is changed and doubt or me didn't know.

Blyth does the GA wars and has been notifying ppl mostly via e-mail, cos that's how the notifications come to us for GA.

We have a problem with the ZERO mailing list in that not everyone gets ZERO e-mails cos the list is seriously out of date! I know that Slaide, DF & JustinSane DO NOT get team e-mails, and there may be others. Conscience is trying to fix the list , but it's a long term problem (maybe Con can give us an update?). The system is supposed to work off the profiles in the member listing automatically so that if u change your e-mail in your profile the team e-mails will be sent to your new addie automatically. Problem is this is busted and the list is very old, and Con can't update it manually (believe me I've offered to do it manually!).

Short term fix is to make ppl who miss out on the team e-mails and who want the GA war e-mails Captains, then they'll get the e-mails directly from GA. I made DF a captain last week, and now I've made Slaide a captain too - guys u don't need to do anything with these e-mails cos Blyth handles em all well , but at least you'll see the war details! If u don't want em then you can revoke your own captain priviledges on the GA page for our team

One last thing... I agree with Cy's idea that ANYONE who turns up for a war is included as attending, so long as they are available to play, even if they can't get a spot in the war. We want ppl to turn up even if we've got more than enuff so we've got backups. Those backups count just as much as the ppl actually in the war IMO! And I've mentioned that already in previous posts or e-mails on this topic, and I also ask ppl that organise wars to le me know of these backups so I can put the right info into the attendance page You may notice for some wars in the past there are more players listed as attending than there were spots in the war, that's cos I've added the backups in where I knew of them

Pls keep making comments/questions on this cos I think it's good and we're making it better as a result

Good one rem!
I must say I don't use ICQ that much but Blyth normally rings me if the team is short and if I am available I will attend.

yer... good question..... when we used roger wilco or gamevoice we meet on comm's, but now i guess we would either meet in the war server if there's enuff slots, then we work out who stays in and who the backups are... or if not enuff slots then ICQ the war organiser to say you're ready and available to jump in at a moment's notice thru icq
