just see if u can get some left overs

with the BBQ e-mail elad, I reckon give ppl the option of a few dates and see who would like to come, and what their availability will be - u may need to do 2 or 3 e-mails until it's all worked out

and don't forget the non-zero's in this thread either, cos we want them to come too! (Rem looks at insty and cokey and harry)

SS - for a LAN day next year, it would be very hard for me to come, so don't worry about me. Pretty much any time u had it tho i would certainly drop in and say hi, but not bring my PC and stuff cos i just don't have that much time these days - things may settle down in a few years tho, after i get on top of renovations etc)

and by god this thread has been going for a long time 4 pages now. whats the record ?
and as for next year if the plane tickets are as cheap as they are now i'll see what i can do , payin the money for the ticket would be worth it me thinks lol

Lego - that would be soooo gooooood conscience tried to fix the old one we had (worked well for about 3 weeks at some stage over the last year!) but he never got it happening!

Aint that the truth!

I lost 240GB of data due to a faulty SATA cable. I wont go into detail as to why I didnt just replace the cable, just to say it was complicated.

i'm very happy with one large hdd thanks , and none of this raid crap just makes pc's that more confusing (not really but just makes it more fiddly and i don't see the benafits)

RAID 3 is great (wish I had it!!) cos it's fault tolerant - if u lose a drive you can swap a new one in and the system will rebuild it for u without losing anything at all - that's what RAID is all about really (R stands for Redundant - and that redundancy means u don't lose data if u use redundancy )
