Give it a go Rem, its quite interesting, and it's a Half Life Mod. I tried it on GA, but too laggy. May give it a second chance on DD.

SGL NS Server now running 1.01 Beta!

Changes in this release:
- Significantly better performance
- Prevents a player from joining a team if it would make that team have more then 2 players then the other team
- Expires health and ammo after 30 seconds
- Removes all server op control over gameplay variables. We're trying to make sure the public servers are playing the way the game was designed, and so this was necessary.
- Also, there may be some bugs in here.

NS? I've forgotten what that is, all I know is CS owns. When I say owns I mean it [xxxxx] OWNS!

[edited for language by Remorse... while I was at it I removed the blasphemic references by swapping the odd "N" and "C" around ]

yer nice post Fritz I just had to fix it for the bad language, then I noticed what must have been typos cos u had "N" and "C" letters swapped around - dislexia???

Bah, you just used bad language as an excuse to edit my post

Anyway I usually don’t use bad language, but there’s something about NS that makes you want to xxxxxxx xxxxx xxxxx xxxxxxxxxxx xxxx xxxxx xxxxxxx xxxx and xxxxx xxxx xxxxx xxxxxxx xxxxx xxxxxx the xxxxx xxxxxxx xxxxx xxxx xxxxx xxxxx xxxx xxxxxx so that’s why I think small children shouldn’t be allowed on buses at night.

lol fritz - u r so right

It really does sound good to me... honest! I just don't have time to get into it ATM..... In the few hours I set aside each week for gaming, I wanna fix up DD for CS for maps and mods again (and also my own CS server), then get back into playing more CS..... if i had more time then NS would be in for sure. I got no holidays coming up, and no way of getting extra time oh well, such is life

Rem give up cs man - It's not worthy.

It's for little kiddies who don't know real games when they play em Real men play games that require thinking and skill.

Download NS and play it - you will wonder why you even bothered with cs. And good luck putting cs servers up on dd The demand for NS is big! The public will not approve!

Yeh I've been totally bitten by the NS bug. Know I've seen sherman in their on GA as well It's added another level of teamwork to CS's. Gotta build defences, get resources, eat marines, chomp chomp.
The two different play styles for marines and aliens is good too, its sooo important to have a good commander as marines, whereas aliens can get by with a couple of good builders

i ams teh ownage marine commander! but i need good marines to win still the best tactic is to get heavy armour to all, welders to all, then have them all preair eachother while fightinh. that owns cause u repair so damn fast and its free.

It defines the phrase TEAMPLAY MOD. All the others are pretty shocking in comparison No option to not play as a team in this game - unless you want to lose all the time.

ppl still want to play cs, and war in cs, and we're recruiting more cs players so we can continue to be active in cs

as a team we need to decide what game(s) we're gonna be ACTIVE in..... at the moment the ONLY game zero is "committed" to be active in is CS - if as a team we said no more CS and we're gonna play NS then that would be fine with me - first thing I'd do is d/l NS!!!

until as a team we make a change in game direction, we gotta keep our CS skills and CS players or it will be forfeit, forfeit, forfeit like the last 3 wars

if a majority of us want to move from CS to NS, I'd give my support to that too

your thoughts guys?

Games come and go - CS, NS, BF1942 etc. We play them as they come, and people are active in what they want to be.

Rem is right though, if we're going to make a 'war' commitment, we need to be sure we have the numbers. At the moment we want to make a war commitment for CS, so we need the players.

Slaide and I are constantly playing on GA, at least once every couple of nights, just a matter of time before his uber leet skills bring in recruits!
