I am playing UT2003, Single Player, offline, no internet, I've even turned the modem off and pulled the cable from the wall.
Who is controlling the other players?

Back when i coudnt afford to play online, i used to play quake deathmatch with reaper bots. It was great fun. The Unreal developers hired the author of reaper bots to work on their bot AI.

TISM, make sure you tightly cover any possible entry points for radio transmissions. I especially recommend tightly taping over your nose and mouth.
