Optus plans.

I was under the assumption that this month I would recieve unlimited downloads from Optus.
I was on the 3 gig plan and on monday morning I checked my data monitor and it said "Unlimited (Up to 12gig)

Does this mean I have a 12 gig limit and once I go over this i will have 28k??

yes its unlimited but you are capped to a lower speed once you hit 12 gb

Optus has ALWAYS been "unlimited"
they just cap you when they think you go over your limit.

Arrgh.
Well that is true yes.
But once the speed hits 28k the internet isnt really any use.
